They are an independent Catholic School for girls from Grade 0 to 12 founded by the Missionary Sisters of the Assumption in 1946. Founded in 1874, DSG is one of the oldest girls’ schools in the country and is situated in spacious grounds in Grahamstown. The school has links with St Andrew’s Preparatory School where the girls attend classes with the boys in the Pre- Primary School and the Junior Primary section.
