The school is set on a beautiful 16-hectare campus situated in Scottsville. They are a Christian school with a Methodist ethos welcoming children from all faiths. They cater for pre-primary children through to their co-ed Preparatory School and up to their Girls Independent High School.
The school was founded in 1898 and they take pride in their cultural diversity and promote respect for all fellow citizens. Their excellent boarding facilities cater for girls from Grade 5 – 12, providing termly, weekly and overnight boarding in a secure and friendly environment.
The girls write the Senior Certificate examinations set by the Independent Examinations Board (IEB). Classes are small, allowing pupils to accelerate their progress, or receive that individual special attention and therefore reaching their academic goals.
Sports and culture play an important part in the Epworth curriculum. In keeping with their vision of educating the whole person – soul, body and mind – the school has a long and proud tradition of excellence in Visual Arts, Drama, Music and Ballet.
