The International School of Cape Town was established in 1998 and is a co-educational, multi-cultural school with a Christian foundation.

It is beautifully situated and has more than 30 nationalities represented.
Leadership plays an important role, especially in the high school, where students are given the chance to prove themselves in their portfolio, whereafter they are elected by peers and by staff as prefects, based on their performance.

The curriculum for Pre-Reception to Year 9 is essentially an international version of the UK National Curriculum. Students from Year 10 follow the relevant syllabi leading to Cambridge International Examinations at IGCSE , AS and A Level. The students all have excelled in these exams, producing results that are well above the world-wide average at all levels.

The school also sees cultural activities and sports and the development of students in these area as an integral part of the child’s life at the school.
