This fine school first opened in 1936. They are situated on the heights of the Van Staden`s Pass in the Port Elizabeth and Jeffrey’s Bay area in the Eastern Cape. As a Christian School, they adopt a holistic approach to education, aiming to develop the students to reach their full potential. St George’s Preparatory School was founded in 1936 and caters for children aged 4 to 13, from Grade 00 to Grade 7. They aim to provide boys and girls with an exceptional, progressive, holistic education in a happy, caring, yet disciplined Christian environment. They have a number of foreign pupils who add to the cultural diversity of the school
The school is known for its excellent academic record. Small classes ensure that each pupil receives individual attention in a nurturing environment. They have also had a pupil exchange program with three schools in the UK in 2009 exposing their pupils to a new environment and a new way of life.
Th school doesn’t only provide an excellent academic education, they also offer a range of super sport and cultural activities that enrich the lives of the students further. Participation in sport is compulsory – each child has to participate in at least one summer and one winter sport.
