Grades 8 and 9 follow the National Curriculum for the General Education and Training (GET) level, using outcomes-based methods.

• English Home Language, Afrikaans or isiZulu as First Additional Language, Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy and Life Orientation.
• Students also choose three other subjects from: Accounting, Visual Arts, Dramatic Arts, Life Sciences, Physical Science, Geography, History, French, Information Technology.

Founded in 1888, St Mary’s School is an independent Anglican School for girls and is the oldest school in Johannesburg. It caters for pupils from pre-school through to Matric, offering an outstanding education to all girls from various cultures and religions.
