Pro Arte Alphen Park opened its doors in January 1994. Their motto is Vigor Et Veritas, meaning Strength and Integrity and is a unique school successfully combining the Arts and Business. The Pretoria Preparatory School was established in 1977 to meet the needs of children who underachieve in regular schools because of learning difficulties. The school is non-profit making and is managed by a Board of Governors.
Children receive a great deal of individual attention, and they have speech therapists, occupational therapists, a resource teacher, a remedial maths teacher and a psychologist as well as other subject teachers.
The school has a very dedicated and highly qualified and experienced staff.A child referred to the school initially receives a full multidisciplinary assessment which includes psychological, educational, speech and language and occupational therapy evaluations.
